Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that govern your use of the ChameleAI service ("Service"). It applies to every user, every persona deployed, every conversation, every API request, and every piece of generated output. The AUP forms part of the Terms of Service and is binding on every account holder, end user, and third party who interacts with the Service.
The AUP is enforced at the model layer, the application layer, and the deployment layer. Violations are detected through a combination of automated classifiers, user reports, and human review. We act on violations regardless of whether a user, an end user of a deployed persona, or an automated system caused the violation.
01. Purpose and scope
ChameleAI provides a platform for designing, testing, and deploying AI personas as Telegram bots. The Service is intended for legitimate creative, productivity, educational, professional, and entertainment uses. This policy defines what those uses are not.
The AUP applies to:
- Account holders who design and deploy personas using ChameleAI
- End users who interact with personas deployed via ChameleAI
- The contents of any persona configuration, including system prompts, knowledge bases, scenes, refusal lines, and metadata
- The contents of any conversation conducted through the Service or any persona deployed by it
- Images, audio, or other media generated, hosted, or transmitted through the Service
- Any third party who interacts with the Service via API, webhook, or other interface
02. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 18 years of age to register for and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction.
Personas deployed via ChameleAI must not be designed for or marketed to minors. End users of deployed personas are subject to the age verification mechanisms required by the deploying account holder; account holders are responsible for ensuring their deployed personas are accessed only by users of appropriate age.
03. Prohibited content
The following categories of content are strictly prohibited. They may not appear in persona configurations, system prompts, knowledge bases, scenes, generated outputs, conversations conducted through the Service, or any media transmitted by the Service. This list is not exhaustive; ChameleAI reserves the right to identify additional categories of prohibited content at its discretion.
3.1 Sexual content involving minors
Any content that sexualizes, eroticizes, or exploits a minor is prohibited without exception. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material in any form, real or synthetic, drawn, generated, photographic, or otherwise depicted

- Personas with characteristics that suggest a minor (school settings, age indicators, developmental indicators) deployed in a romantic or sexual context
- "Aged-up" framings, retroactive age adjustments, or other narrative devices used to circumvent the prohibition on sexual content involving minors
- Roleplay scenarios in which one or more participants represent a minor and the interaction has any sexual or romantic component
- Any request, prompt, scene, or directive that solicits the above
This prohibition is absolute. There is no creative, educational, satirical, or research exception. Detected violations are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the relevant Mexican federal authorities, as required by law.
3.2 Non-consensual sexual content
Content that depicts, describes, or facilitates non-consensual sexual activity is prohibited. This includes:

- Personas designed to represent celebrities, public figures, or private individuals in sexual or romantic contexts
- Sexual or sexually-suggestive content generated to resemble a real, identifiable person
- Deepfake-style imitation of real persons in sexual scenarios
- Persona configurations that name, describe, or visually represent a real person without their explicit, documented consent
Non-sexual personas inspired by public figures (historical, literary, satirical) may be permitted; consult with ChameleAI before deploying personas that imitate identifiable living individuals.

- Personas that facilitate human trafficking, smuggling, or modern slavery
- Personas that facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, or other financial crimes
- Personas that solicit or facilitate violence against any person or group

3.6 Self-harm and dangerous content
The following are prohibited:
- Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
- Content that promotes eating disorders or extreme weight-loss methods
- Personas that encourage end users toward self-destructive behavior
- Detailed instructions for the creation of weapons capable of mass harm (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or large-scale explosive)
- Detailed instructions for malicious software, network intrusion, or attacks on critical infrastructure
3.7 Hate, harassment, and threats
The following are prohibited:

- Personas designed to harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk specific individuals
- Doxxing, sharing of private information without consent, or targeted intimidation campaigns
- Content that incites violence or unlawful action against any person, group, or institution

When a violation is detected, ChameleAI may take any of the following actions, individually or in combination, with or without prior notice:
- Block individual model responses
- Suspend conversations or persona instances
- Disable persona configurations
- Suspend or terminate user accounts
- Withhold or refund payments and credits
- Notify affected third parties (deployed platform operators, payment processors, regulators) where required
- Report violations to law enforcement and regulatory authorities, including NCMEC, the Mexican Federal Police (Guardia Nacional), and the Mexican data protection authority (INAI)
- Pursue civil or criminal action against the violating party
For severe violations — including but not limited to those described in sections 3.1, 3.2, and 3.5 — enforcement is immediate and termination is permanent. There is no warning escalation for these categories.
08. Reporting violations
To report a suspected violation of this AUP, contact ChameleAI by email at abuse@chameleai.com. Reports may be submitted in English or Spanish.
Please include, where possible:
- The username, persona identifier, or @-handle of the deployed bot
- A description of the suspected violation
- Date and time of the violation, with timezone
- Evidence of the violation (screenshots, conversation transcripts, links)
- Your contact information (optional, but useful for follow-up)
ChameleAI investigates all reports received in good faith. Reports are confidential to the extent permitted by law. We do not share reporter identities with the reported party except where required by court order.
Reports involving suspected child sexual abuse material should be submitted to csam@chameleai.com. We coordinate with NCMEC and the Mexican federal authorities on all such reports, regardless of where the content was created or accessed.
09. Appeals
If your account or persona has been actioned under this AUP and you believe the action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing appeals@chameleai.com within thirty (30) days of the enforcement action.
Appeals must include:
- The account, persona, or conversation that was actioned
- The date of the enforcement action
- A clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
- Any supporting evidence
Appeals are reviewed by a member of the trust and safety team who was not involved in the original enforcement decision. Decisions on appeals are typically issued within fifteen (15) business days. Decisions on appeals are final.
Enforcement actions arising from the categories described in sections 3.1, 3.2, and 3.5 are not subject to appeal.
10. Updates to this policy
ChameleAI may update this AUP from time to time to address emerging risks, regulatory changes, or product evolution. The current version is always published at chameleai.com/aup.html, with the effective date at the top of the document. Material changes will be communicated to active account holders via email or in-product notice with at least fifteen (15) days' advance notice, except where immediate effect is required by law or to address an urgent safety risk.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated AUP constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
